Health & Safety Policy

Last reviewed: June 2026

ACE Crew Limited is committed to the health, safety and welfare of its crew, its clients’ staff, and members of the public affected by our work. This policy reflects our duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.

1. Our commitment

So far as is reasonably practicable, we will provide and maintain safe systems of work, ensure our crew are competent and properly briefed for the work they undertake, and co-operate with our clients to manage risk on site. Health and safety is a shared responsibility and a priority in everything we do.

2. Our responsibilities

As a labour provider, ACE Crew Limited will so far as is reasonably practicable:

  • supply crew who are suitably trained, experienced and qualified for the roles they are booked to perform;
  • ensure crew hold the relevant certifications (for example SIA or CSCS) where these are required for the work;
  • brief crew on the nature of the work and any known hazards before an assignment;
  • maintain appropriate employer’s and public liability insurance; and
  • co-operate and share information with clients so that risks are properly assessed and controlled.

3. Clients' responsibilities

Because crew work under the direction and control of the client while on assignment, the client is responsible, as the controller of the workplace, for:

  • carrying out suitable risk assessments for the work and the site;
  • providing a safe place and safe systems of work, and any site-specific induction;
  • providing any personal protective equipment required for the particular task or environment; and
  • reporting any accident, injury or near-miss involving our crew to us promptly.

4. Crew responsibilities and right to refuse unsafe work

Crew are expected to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others, to follow reasonable safety instructions, and to use equipment properly. Our crew reserve the right to refuse any task that may jeopardise or harm their personal health and safety, at any time, under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. No crew member will be penalised for refusing genuinely unsafe work or for raising a health and safety concern.

5. Reporting and review

Any accident, injury, near-miss or health and safety concern should be reported to us as soon as possible at admin@acecrew.co.uk or on 0207 924 6569. We keep this policy and our safety arrangements under regular review and update them as our business and the law change.

Our full Health and Safety Policy Statement — signed by our Managing Director and supported by our health and safety partner, Peninsula — is held internally and is available to clients on request.
